Hanes Germany GmbH is a leading supplier of innovative legwear and underwear ranges with its headquarter in Rheine. The company has been part of the US HBI Group since 2014. With sales of over $6 billion and 60,000 employees in over 25 countries, Hanesbrands is the world’s largest marketer of basic clothing. Hanesbrands products can be found in about nine out of ten American households. The Rheine site has approximately 400 employees. From here the markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are serviced and approx. 20,000 shops are supplied directly. In addition, the subsidiaries in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are managed from Rheine. Production is carried out in Schongau on 800 knitting machines, for example, and in Slovakia.
